To begin the process for a Custom order... It really is super easy! Simply email a copy of the picture you would like to see in the pendant to vickylmb@yahoo.com (hard copies of photos can also be used and will not be damaged - just request a mailing address when sending in information).

Custom pendants are $25 each plus $5 flat rate shipping. Please provide details such as cord length and style (sterling silver vs. leather). (sterling silver is $8.50 for 16 inches, $10.50 for 18 inches)

I will NOT be at the Holiday or Christmas Market this year so these will be my last three days out.

Last weekend was fabulous!!
It was great seeing all of you guys out on the long holiday weekend.

I sold out of a lot of items last weekend so I am busy as can be getting my inventory back up for you guys!! ... but a big THANK YOU for all your business!

Unfortunately, I am not going to be at the Market this weekend. But don't hesitate to email me (vickylmb@yahoo.com) if you have any special requests, questions or want a catalog.

I am currently working on a whole new line of designs.

Don't forget... if you have an idea for a design - Tell me!! ... especially now, when I am adding new items to my catalog. I will do my best to get it in there. I recently took a trip to Florida and got great pictures of all kinds of things! I can't wait for you all to see the new designs!

There will also be new rings coming out and a 'limited time only' heart shaped glass pendant.

It is going to be a big weekend at Market Square!
There is a LOT going on!!!

Here is just a little bit of what is in store for you...

Market Square has an annual Biscuit Festival! You've been waiting all year and now it's here. Downtown also has all kinds of happening music and entertainment. The Preservation Pub serves you in the afternoons with great music in their upstairs Speakeasy. Cafe Four has a new cupcake menu and Bliss has awesome jeans on sale this weekend only. John Black Photography is running a Memorial Day Special for those serving in the military and their families. Blue Coast Burrito is offering a military discount this weekend. It's all here and it's all just for you. So eat a biscuit, wipe your mouth, take your time and have some fun! Also... don't forget to stop by my booth, I am adding new inventory (and remember, you always get your 10% Market Square Discount!!! ).

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and to kick off the event I have this year's new pendant / ornament designs ready:

The pendants feature a butterfly wing design behind the pink ribbon.

I choose the butterfly wing pattern because, after some research, I discovered the symbolic meanings of butterflies mean metamorphosis, carefree, transformer, immortality, rebirth, grace, and light.

I couldn't think of a better creature to combine with the pink ribbon of hope!

A portion of all the proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Koman foundation.

It has been a terrific year so far and I have lots to update you guys on so let me just get started...

First of all, many... and I do mean many of you, have asked about earrings. So, after a few different ideas, I have settled on the following design. This design will be expanding to include bead work in the future. They will be available in a surgical stainless steel or sterling silver base and will come in a variety of colors. Due to the high demand, the supply will be initially limited. You may reserve your pair beginning August 1st.

Next, many of you have also asked about the 'initial' line that I had last year. I have an updated line I will be rolling out in a week or so. Here is a sample. Let me know what you think!

Also, I have been working on some new designs and will be introducing those around the same time as the the initials. Here's just a sample:

Benefit Concert for Safe Haven Center

Benefit Concert for Safe Haven Center

Not only will I be at my normal location at Market Square on Saturday from 9a-2p, but I will also be at an additional location... 1208 N. Central Street - from 3pm - until around 10ish.

What is at 1208 N. Central Street...? Well, a couple of things. For starters - that is the Relix Variety Theatre, where the event will be held. Second - the event I am supporting is a benefit concert for the Safe Haven Center.

The event will feature a fun-filled day of live music, arts, vendors, food and fun. Proceeds go to benefit Safe Haven. This non-profit organization serves victims of sexual assault and sexual abuse with advocacy, forensic nursing, therapy, and education in Knoxville and surrounding counties without costs to clients or for services.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!!

All moms are special - whether it is your mother, grandmother, aunt, sister or friend (or yourself!!).

They all have the hardest job ever - bringing another life into this world and raising them to the best of their ability. And speaking from experience - that is no easy task. Mothers deserve way more than just a day, but since we do have this day to honor them - let us honor them with all we have.

After all.....

On a side note.... Market Square will be having its Farmers/Craft Market on the Saturday before Mother's Day - a great day to take mom out!

I, personally, am having a special this coming week just for moms. I will be giving out coupons to moms who would like to have custom pendants made.

Also, I have gift boxes ready if you still need to get that last minute present for the special mom in your life.

I have added lots of new things this year, including an entire sterling silver line. All my pieces are made by hand and are one of a kind - definitely something mom doesn't have. ;o)

The Market Square Farmers’ Market

The Market Square Farmers’ Market will open for the 2010 season on May 1. Visit us every Saturday from 9am to 2pm on historic Market Square for our 7th season. The Market Square Farmers’ Market is a open-air farmers’ market located in historic Market Square in the heart of downtown Knoxville. Everything at the MSFM is grown or made by the vendor in the East Tennessee region. Products vary by the seasons and include produce, eggs, honey, herbs, free-range meat, bread, baked goods, salsas and artisan crafts. With interactive fountains, delicious local food and entertainment, the MSFM is a perfect family destination. Free parking is available in the Market Square Garage on Saturdays.

While the deadline for CUSTOM Christmas orders has come and gone, I have extended the deadline for standard orders to this Saturday, December 5th. You may order any item with any design that is in my catalog. If you do not have a catalog, you may request one by sending me an email doing so. Remember... for those of you who ordered CUSTOM orders - the processing time is 3-4 weeks, but you WILL have it before Christmas... I PROMISE!

For those of you who ordered and will order standard prints, the processing time is 2-3 weeks.

Please plan ahead for the time and let me know of any out of town plans you may have that may change shipping arrangements for any order that you may have placed - custom or standard.

To save time, you can pre-order gift boxes for $1.50 each if you like. I only have about 2 box fulls left. If you do have a color preference I will fill your request to the best of my ability, but may have to substitute it for a like color due to the limited number of boxes remaining.

The Christmas Market is going to have some wonderful vendors this year!! I will have all my items out (glass pendants... square, round, rectangle; ornaments... square, round; rings... scrabble and glass; hair accessories; scrabble pendants; bookmarks; domino key chains; along with some very special holiday treats. Among them are....

Beautiful holiday wreaths - complete with a Christmas ornament (leave it on, or add it to your tree to commemorate the year.)

Next, there will be 'kissing balls'. These also come with an ornament that can be either kept with the piece or removed and hung on your tree.

I will also have a few decorative candles... these will come with a glass base and a mini ornament.

All the seasonal items are available at my booth only so be sure to come and check out the Market!!

And you should know that there is a LOT more to the Christmas Market than just great shopping and gifts... one of the big highlights is the Regal Celebration of Lights. It is set for 6 p.m. this Friday, in Krutch Park Extension which features the lighting of the First Tennessee Foundation Christmas Tree. The park will be decorated with thousands of lights, and there will be performances by the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and others. The event also throws the switch on Up on the Rooftops, which includes the scores of brightly lit Christmas trees adorning the roofs of buildings across the city.

Sounds like fun?!!

I just wanted to let you all know that I am going to have to put a cut off on when I will be able to fill orders and have them ready in time for Christmas.

You all have been wonderful and I love having so many orders to fill!!

However, this Saturday - November 28th @ 8:00pm est - will be the last day I will be taking Christmas orders.

I will be more than happy to take any and all orders after that date, but they will not be ready until after the first week or so in January. I am going to take off the last week in December to spend time with my family.

Tomorrow marks the last Farmer's Market for 2009. It has been a fantastic year! Many thanks to all of you who have shown your support buying from local farmers and artists!!

Just because tomorrow is the last day doesn't mean that I am slowing down by any means!! Quite the opposite is true. Tomorrow I will be releasing a new product - key chains. Many of you have requested key chains and I have finally come up with a solution.

The key chains are designed with my photo designs - just as all my other pieces are - however, they are placed on dominoes and then secured to a sterling silver plated bail which is then attached to a key ring. The key chains will cost $6.50. They can be personalized with your own picture for $5.00 more.

However, if you are planning on placing an order for Christmas - please order as soon as possible to ensure your order is able to be processed in time.

Something new I am offering for my custom orders... I now accept paypal payments and can send an invoice directly from paypal if you prefer.

Don't forget I will have my gift boxes available - while supplies last. They are only $1.50 and make the gift giving process that much easier! ;o) All my boxes come pre-filled with tissue paper to protect your item. Each box has a one-of-a-kind hand made paper flower and satin ribbon for closure. There are a variety of colors to choose from.

The weather is suppose to be beautiful tomorrow. I look forward to seeing you at Market Square.

I have some exciting news! I will have several new items ready in time for this Saturday's Market.

I have a new style of pendant now available. It is round, approximately 1 inch in diameter and has a slightly iridescent shine to it.

Back in stock.... A lot of you have been asking about the rectangular glass tiles.... I have a few of them available for this Saturday's Market!

Next, I now have some cute hair accessories for little girls! Scrabble tile headbands and barrettes. These can be customized. The headbands are suitable for all ages - very little ones all the way to school age kiddos and older... They are very comfy stretchy crocheted material and come in all colors - these too can be customized.

A couple of additions to the bows I already have available: (just an example of how these can be customized... Go VOLS!)

Finally... I am now offering custom gift wrapping. It has taken just a little bit longer to offer this because I wanted each box to be special. Each box will be decorated with a handcrafted paper flower - not a single box will be the same. The boxes are closed with coordinating satin ribbon. Tissue paper is added inside to protect your pendant, necklace or ornament. Gift wrapping will only be an extra $1.50. You can request a specific color and I will try my best to fulfill the request. I am going to post the pics of the new items for you all to see. (More colors and designs coming soon!! ) These are new takes on SCRABBLE tile wearable art. In addition, I have created an additional style of barrette or clip that will allow you to choose any design out of my catalog and customize it without the use of a tile of any sort... pretty neat!

I thought I would post a picture of some of my ornaments to show you what all the hype was about. ;o)

The ornaments measure approximately 2 inches by 2 inches and come with a medium size sterling silver plated bail attached at the top. They are hung by either a white thin ribbon or by a black or brown leather cord.

Remember, you can also have these customized
for the same price as a custom necklace... $20.

All the ornaments shown in this picture will be available at the Market Square this Saturday (and are eligible for the 20% discount - only for booth sales). There will be others to choose from as well. Regular price is $15, Sale price (at booth only) is $12.

There is a very talented young lady by the name of Jaime Williams who has a booth at the Market. She makes adorable aprons, bibs, pants, hair accessories, and more - all designed specifically for little ones. She even has some UT inspired items. All her items are delicately handmade, very beautiful and very reasonably priced. (By the way - all of her aprons are reversible!!)

I purchased a cute apron for my little girl - which she LOVES!

I didn't believe it either, but a couple of years ago I discovered that August 8th was officially known as 'Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbors Porch Day' (some substitute 'Day' with 'Night', I suppose it allows with more stealthy movement. lol) Anyway, it really is an actual day that is, not widely observed, but observed by a few. Last year, for kicks and giggles, I hid a zucchini in my friends purse (my own take on the holiday). I suppose I was saving on gas. ha!

The holiday was actually established to encourage sharing. It was established by Pennsylvanian Tom Roy. There was an overzealous planting of zucchini by the citizens there, so they were asked to drop off baskets of the squash on their neighbors' doorsteps.

I figure it would apply to any form of squash-like veggie. Given the current economic environment, I suppose we could use more holidays like this.

So... let's all celebrate 'Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbors Porch Day' and buy one extra zucchini at the Farmer's Market this Saturday!

What a perfect day to come to the Farmer's Market at Knoxville's Market Square (9am - 2pm)!!

Good news... I will have 3 different styles of rings available at this coming Market Square! Yea! I wasn't sure if all three would be ready... but looks like I am going to make the deadline!
You already have seen one new one (the scrabble tile... but I am going to let the second one be a surprise!) I will post pics after Saturday. Let's just say it is perfect for everyday wear and anyone can wear it!

This coming Saturday I will have a section in my shop that will have nothing but new designs. I am really excited to formally introduce these. I have had a few out here and there to get a little feedback, and your response has been great. So, thanks!!

Change is a good thing, right?!

Well.... I have a limited number of square style rings that are going to be available for the present time - about 18 or so. However... I am starting a new line of rings with a new round smaller style 'stone' on top. The new style will be available in August. Pictures will be posted... I have a feeling you are going to definitely LOVE these new ones!! I am very excited about them!! The square style rings are not going to be discontinued, but will be limited in quantity.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came out yesterday!
It was a beautiful day! I saw some familiar faces and met some lovely new ones.

Thanks to all of you who came out yesterday! It ended up being a beautiful day at Market Square and I really enjoyed seeing many of you again and meeting a lot of new faces too!

As some of you saw, I had my catalog on hand for you all to thumb through to look at all my designs. Mind you, I still need to update it with a few of the new ones - which I will hopefully get done this week. You guys are keeping me busy!! I love it!!

Next weekend, just like this weekend, I will have two copies on hand for you all to look at. Don't forget you can have a copy emailed out for you to review.

While you are at the Market Square if you see something you think you might like in the catalog go ahead and tell me about it - odds are I can put it in the mix for the next batch of regular tiles to have out for display. You can come by the next Saturday and try it on and see how you like it!! .... and you will still get it on sale!! cool!!

Now for an update regarding the shipping.... I never ever attempt to make money on shipping. In the past I have only charged $3.00. Unfortunately, due to the wonderful rising cost of postage (argh!) I am going to have to raise my rates. I will still be including delivery conformation in the process. I am going to be charging $4.00 for all orders taken on and after August 1st. Thank you for your understanding!!

The Summer Sale Continues!!

Good news guys!! I have more rings for tomorrow. Last Saturday they sold out rather quick, so get their early!!

Also, keep your eyes out.... there are a few new necklace designs.

For my two customers who requested a 'C' and 'S' initial , and the 'Believe' Chinese symbol necklaces - I will have those held for you behind the counter. (Just ask for them.)

Which brings me to my next point... if you ever see anything in my catalog that isn't at my booth, just ask for it and it can be there next week. Cool thing about that is ... since you are still purchasing it at the booth - you still get the 20% discount! Aren't sales great?!

My catalog will be updated very soon. I have added so many more new designs and products... and more to come!!!
